Senior Client Accounting and Tax Accountant
Oversee bookkeeping, reconciliations, financial reporting, and tax compliance for small and midsize business clients. Mentor junior accountants and refine processes at a growing accounting and advisory firm.
Opis
- Oversee bookkeeping and accounting across multiple client accounts
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and other accounts each month
- Support month-end close and maintain accurate, complete financial records
- Prepare and review financial statements and general ledger activity
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies
- Deliver accurate, high-quality work on schedule
- Prepare and review individual and business tax returns
- Support tax planning, compliance, and research
- Collect and organize client tax details and supporting documents
- Answer accounting and tax questions and assist clients during tax season
- Coordinate with the CPA on tax deliverables
- Manage multiple client engagements and deadlines
- Keep clients informed and follow up for outstanding information
- Handle day-to-day accounting questions as a client contact
- Review and mentor junior accounting staff
- Improve accounting workflows, documentation, and quality controls
- Act as the first escalation point for accounting questions
- Find efficiencies, standardize processes, and reduce errors
Zahteve
- Bring 5–7 or more years of public accounting or client accounting experience
- Have required experience with Drake Tax and TaxDome
- Have required QuickBooks Online experience
- Demonstrate strong bookkeeping and accounting fundamentals
- Have prepared business and/or individual tax returns
- Have managed multiple clients and competing deadlines
- Show strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Communicate effectively in written and spoken English
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Show ownership, follow-through, and problem-solving ability
- CPA or CPA candidate status is preferred
- Experience at a U.S. CPA firm is preferred
- Experience supervising, mentoring, or managing remote accounting teams is preferred
- Client-facing accounting and advisory experience is preferred
