Financial Reporting Accountant – Dubai
Support ASSA ABLOY’s Middle East reporting and financial controls from Dubai. Prepare statements, forecasts, reconciliations and audit materials, and help improve analysis with Power BI and automation.
Opis
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends and recommend ways to improve results.
- Improve Middle East reporting and analysis with Power BI, automation and other technology.
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger activities in line with group and statutory reporting rules.
- Prepare financial statements, forecasts, budgets and monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packages.
- Work with sales, operations, HR and finance teams to inform business decisions with financial insights.
- Develop and apply accounting policies and procedures that meet local and international standards and regulations.
- Assist the Middle East Financial Controller with annual audits and coordinate with external auditors.
- Help with internal audits and control assessments, and follow through on related actions.
- Prepare quarterly balance sheet reconciliations and take part in reviews with the Middle East Financial Controller.
- Present financial results, variance analyses and forecasts to the Middle East Financial Controller.
- Contribute to ERP improvement projects and future system implementations.
- Assist with VAT return filings and reconciliations.
- Track industry developments and changes to accounting standards and regulations.
- Handle ad hoc work and other assigned duties.
Zahteve
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance or an equivalent field.
- A globally recognized professional accounting qualification.
- Five to ten years of experience in comparable industries and across the Middle East region.
- A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to handle data entry and report preparation; this is an individual contributor role.
- FP&A experience and a track record of improving reporting are strong advantages.
- Fluency in English.
- Arabic language skills are an advantage but are not required.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Strong knowledge of leading ERP systems.
- Familiarity with MS Navision and Hyperion HFM.
- Knowledge of tax compliance.
- Power BI skills are an advantage.
- Understanding of the potential future benefits of AI in business and finance.
