Lead MyFitnessPal’s mobile advertising engineering team and shape quality-focused ad experiences across its native apps. The role centers on experimentation, privacy-aware development, and close partnership across product, design, and commercial teams.
Opis
- Lead the Advertising squad to build high-quality ad experiences.
- Manage backend and iOS engineers around outcomes and user value.
- Partner with Product and Design to identify solutions through qualitative and quantitative research.
- Maintain a healthy backlog and plan maintenance and technical debt work.
- Break projects into appropriately sized work and sequence it on time.
- Facilitate team ceremonies and help others run them effectively.
- Coach team members, support their growth, and sustain team health.
- Guide work from discovery into delivery.
- Protect code quality and long-term maintainability.
- Work with Product, Design, Ad Operations, and Sales on programmatic and direct-sold ad formats.
- Adapt development practices to changing privacy and consent requirements.
Zahteve
- At least two years leading mobile engineering teams using a product model, with iterative work focused on outcomes.
- A strong grounding in product iteration informed by A/B testing.
- Experience leading consumer-facing native app development with iterative, learning-oriented agile methods.
- A record of partnering across Product, Design, and Engineering to plan, execute, and deliver projects.
- Experience building high-trust engineering teams through coaching and mentorship.
- Ability to set clear goals, provide context, and establish decision frameworks while empowering engineers to own technical execution and tradeoff discussions.
- Knowledge of common software engineering patterns and best practices.
- Experience with high-traffic mobile apps, scaling systems while balancing speed, quality, and safety.
