Controls Process Engineer, Gas Turbine Milestones
Standardize GE Vernova gas turbine controls milestone processes and documentation. Use Lean methods, Confluence, and CLM to improve engineering execution.
Opis
- Document and improve engineering execution processes for HDNU Controls System Architect teams.
- Work with GEV and Alliance Architects, Controlled Title Holders, Global Design Leaders, and Controls leaders to document and validate current processes.
- Use Lean methods to reduce waste and cycle time, improve execution quality, and support on-time delivery.
- Create standardized job aids, work instructions, checklists, and process guides.
- Coordinate with CLM administrators and Confluence page owners to support platform governance and maintain accurate documentation.
- Present improvement plans, documentation status, and Lean workout results to team and business leaders.
- Help onboard new engineers with documented job aids and checklists.
- Document GT milestone execution processes across software variants, from PRR through COD.
- Create, publish, and maintain job aids, checklists, and process guides for all GT software milestones.
- Link Confluence Milestone Review Guides with CLM Milestone Test Suites, Child Test Scripts, and process step guides.
- Reorganize New Units (GT Fulfillment) Confluence pages into a clear documentation structure.
- Update GT Milestone Checklists and Job Aids and support their pilot use on projects.
- Use PSR, Gemba Walks, Kaizen Events, 3x5 Why, Value Stream Mapping, and daily management practices.
- Lead or support current-state and future-state value stream mapping for GT milestone execution.
Zahteve
- Hold a bachelor's degree in engineering, such as electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering, from an accredited college or university.
- Have at least five years of experience in controls engineering, systems engineering, or a related technical execution role in the power generation industry.
- Demonstrate strong technical writing skills and the ability to produce clear, structured process documentation, job aids, checklists, and work instructions.
- Have experience in Gas Turbine or Steam Turbine Controls environments.
- Know milestone-based software execution processes, including Alpha, Integration, Comm SW, Charlie, and First Fire.
- Show experience applying Lean methods in an engineering or manufacturing setting.
- Have experience with VSM, PSR, Gemba, Kaizen, and root cause analysis tools such as 3x5 Why.
- Be familiar with Confluence or a comparable engineering knowledge management platform.
- Be familiar with CLM or a comparable test management or checklist platform.
- Have experience with GE Vernova tools and platforms, including ControlST, AVEVA (IO tools), ACME, Mark VIe, and CLM.
- Have experience working in a global, matrixed organization.
- Demonstrate strong collaboration and cross-functional influence skills.
- Know agile execution methods.
- Have experience organizing engineering work as user stories or checklist-based tasks.
- Lean certification, such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher, or equivalent GE Vernova Lean training, is strongly preferred.
- Be able to drive projects to completion independently with minimal oversight.
- Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Successfully complete a drug screen, where applicable.
