Plan social, recreational, and therapeutic programs for residents at Westview of Derby Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. Align activities with the care plans and interests of older adults.
Opis
- Plan and coordinate a program of activities and leisure pursuits.
- Create activities that address residents’ social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, educational, and physical needs and interests.
- Develop activities in line with each resident’s comprehensive care plan.
- Work with older adults in a rehabilitation and health care center.
Zahteve
- Bring enthusiasm and passion to working with seniors.
- Have a flexible, positive, and energetic personality.
- Certification as a Certified Activities Director is preferred.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy or a related field.
- Be licensed or registered nationally or in the state where you practice.
- Have at least one year of experience as an Activities Director in a long-term care, skilled nursing, assisted living, or memory care setting.
- Have two years of experience leading social and recreational programs within the past five years, including at least one full-time year in a resident activities program in a health care setting.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
