Staff Android Engineer - Remote
Lead the architecture and delivery of scalable Android applications for a global sports platform. Drive engineering quality, technical execution, and mentorship across the mobile team.
Descriere
- Build, test, document, and deploy high-quality scalable software.
- Help shape team strategy and organizational direction through industry, product, and roadmap expertise.
- Own complex technical initiatives from ideation and architecture through deployment and continuous refinement.
- Establish and uphold engineering principles, standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate with product, design, and other stakeholders on significant technical decisions.
- Lead incident response through the on-call rotation.
- Resolve project blockers and keep delivery moving.
- Perform thorough code reviews and raise review standards across the team.
- Guide team planning and technical design discussions.
- Strengthen software quality, testability, operational metrics, and documentation.
- Mentor and coach engineers across experience levels.
- Travel occasionally to company offices and other locations.
Cerințe
- At least seven years of experience building highly scalable Android applications with MVI architecture.
- Expert-level Kotlin proficiency.
- Deep Android expertise, including platform best practices, current trends, and end-user considerations.
- Experience with Jetpack Compose and dependency injection or Service Locator patterns.
- Advanced knowledge of Agile software delivery and Scrum methodology.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across diverse, cross-functional teams in large enterprise environments.
- Experience working in high-growth settings with shifting priorities and rapid decision-making.
- Kotlin Multiplatform and Compose Multiplatform experience is preferred.
- Material Design experience, particularly Material 3, is preferred.
- Client API design, client-backend development, or experience with Go, Swift, and Java is preferred.
