SQL Database Developer – Chennai Onsite

SQL Database Developer responsible for MS SQL databases, SSIS projects, and operational reporting at Med-Metrix. The role supports ETL, performance, security, HIPAA compliance, and ad hoc data requests.

Descriere

  • Analyze, develop, and maintain SSIS solutions for ETL, file transmission, encryption, and archiving
  • Design, develop, and maintain database tables, stored procedures, and related database objects
  • Create and support operational reports for internal teams and clients
  • Provide operational support, address recurring issues, and determine root causes
  • Document database topology, architecture, processes, and procedures
  • Write SQL queries and fulfill ad hoc data requests
  • Support capacity planning and resource expansion through data aggregation and analysis
  • Work with project managers to ensure reports and metrics address business needs and reveal process-improvement opportunities
  • Detect inefficiencies in database platforms and recommend solutions to management
  • Prepare time estimates for assigned work
  • Help resolve business and technical issues
  • Track emerging security threats, conduct periodic security reviews, and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Maintain regulatory compliance, including HIPAA, in data use and information access
  • Follow Change Management policies and procedures for production changes
  • Protect and disclose patients’ protected health information in accordance with HIPAA standards
  • Follow Information Security and HIPAA policies and procedures
  • Restrict PHI access to the minimum necessary for assigned responsibilities
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Cerințe

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science and at least three years of MS SQL experience
  • Thorough understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices
  • Ability to write and troubleshoot SQL code and design stored procedures, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, and constraints
  • Extensive experience with MS SQL Server 2005, 2008, 2012, and 2014
  • Knowledge of SSIS and SSRS is a plus
  • Experience with C# or VB.NET
  • Technical understanding of MS SQL Server internals, particularly query performance
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively across the organization
  • Strong problem-solving and creative-thinking abilities, with sound judgment and decisions grounded in accurate, timely analysis
  • High integrity and dependability, with urgency and a results-focused approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must have a smartphone or electronic device that can download applications for multifactor authentication and security
  • Ability to follow instructions, collaborate effectively, and manage stress
