Senior Warehouse Operations Team Lead – Goodyear
Lead warehouse shipping, receiving, quality checks, equipment use, and workforce coordination for DSV in Goodyear. The role supports daily distribution operations at an onsite Arizona facility.
Descriere
- Coordinate daily warehouse operations with the Operations Supervisor.
- Oversee associates in warehousing, receiving, and shipping.
- Train and mentor associates on distribution tasks and standard procedures.
- Support forklift operation and certification.
- Coordinate inbound unloading and product stacking, plus outbound picking and staging.
- Check inbound and outbound paperwork, product counts, dock doors, and trailers.
- Load orders accurately and efficiently.
- Investigate shipping and receiving discrepancies.
- Communicate professionally with customers by phone, electronically, and in person.
- Prepare site activity reports.
- Conduct quality checks by verifying orders and documenting damage or discrepancies; stack, package, shrink-wrap, and label products.
- Report issues and inconsistencies to the Operations Supervisor or Operations Manager.
- Attend quality, safety, and department meetings.
- Follow safety protocols and ISO, OSHA/MSDS, corporate, site-specific, and standard operating procedures.
- Keep the warehouse clean, secure, and orderly.
- Direct warehouse team operations and help track productivity and payroll hours.
- Support staffing levels and schedules, and ensure work is assigned and completed properly.
- Propose or initiate fixes for product, process, and quality-system non-conformities.
- Operate and maintain forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, scissor lifts, cherry pickers, and related warehouse equipment.
- Inspect equipment daily, handle minor maintenance, and report problems.
- Maintain or help maintain buildings, grounds, and equipment.
- Handle administrative tasks, including phone calls, scheduling, greeting visitors, filing, and record keeping.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Cerințe
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of experience in logistics, distribution, or a related setting.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (MHE).
- Ability to work in an unregulated warehouse environment during warm and cold seasons.
- Successful completion of a forklift training program.
- Basic computer skills.
- Experience using RF scanners.
- Knowledge of warehouse management system (WMS) functions.
- English reading, writing, and speaking skills.
- Basic to intermediate math skills for checking quantities and inventory.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to complete tasks on time.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision or guidance.
- Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with people at all organizational levels.
- Ability to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 21–50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, walk, stand, reach above the shoulder and outward, squat, or kneel.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Willingness to work mandatory or voluntary overtime based on business needs.
- Preferred: 2–4 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
- Preferred: 2–4 years of proven forklift experience.
- Preferred: Current or previous MHE certification.
