Senior Tech Lead, Russian Speaker — Whizz (Remote, Serbia)
Lead Whizz’s mobility platform architecture, databases, deployments, and engineering standards. Guide developers building tools for delivery drivers.
Descriere
- Own Whizz’s system architecture and technical roadmap.
- Review every pull request before merging and maintain consistent review standards.
- Design and maintain database architecture across MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Manage Docker images, deployments, and runtime environments.
- Advance AI-assisted development through team agent instructions, prompts, and review rules for generated code.
- Translate product requirements into technical tasks and mentor backend, frontend, and mobile developers.
- Lead incident response and deliver fixes addressing underlying causes.
Cerințe
- At least 6 years of backend development experience and 2 or more years leading a team.
- Expertise in PHP 8, with the ability to work across PHP, TypeScript with Vue/Nuxt and React/Next.js, and Flutter.
- Strong database architecture experience, including data modeling, migrations, and query optimization in MySQL and PostgreSQL.
- Production experience with Docker.
- Daily experience using AI development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar, plus experience creating team agent instructions.
- A disciplined code-review practice focused on logic, data safety, and security defects as well as style.
- Experience with Stripe or a comparable payment provider and REST API integrations.
- Native Russian and fluent English.
- Availability to work strictly on New York time, including EST/EDT.
- Hands-on experience with ProcessWire.
- Experience developing Flutter applications and releasing them through app stores.
- Background in subscription billing or fintech.
- Experience with CapRover or another Docker PaaS, along with CI/CD setup experience.
