Senior Software Engineer, Endpoint Security

Build GitGuardian’s cross-platform endpoint security agent, developing backend software for macOS, Linux, and Windows. Work in Rust on endpoint protection designed to operate at scale.

Descriere

  • Develop GitGuardian’s lightweight agent for macOS, Linux, and Windows.
  • Identify exposed secrets and risky configurations, then report them when needed.
  • Manage delivery challenges for software installed on end-user devices, including updates, operating system permissions, resource usage, and platform-specific security risks.
  • Contribute to ggshield, GitGuardian’s open-source CLI and the basis of its endpoint product.
  • Work with web-platform engineers to ingest, organize, and expose data collected from thousands of devices.
  • Choose architectures that can support the product as it scales.
  • Advance the product quickly toward commercial success.
  • Use AI tools in development to speed delivery and strengthen code reviews.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers under the guidance of an Engineering Manager.

Cerințe

  • At least 3 years of software engineering experience; 5 or more years is preferred.
  • Production Rust experience, including ownership, asynchronous programming, idiomatic error handling, and shipping binaries across multiple platforms.
  • Experience delivering software installed on end-user devices, such as agents, desktop applications, or widely distributed command-line tools.
  • Knowledge of software updates, permissions on macOS, Linux, and Windows, and managing resource usage.
  • A focus on product and business impact.
  • Able to take initiative, own work end to end, and identify problems proactively.
  • A pragmatic, hands-on working style.
  • Clear written and spoken English communication.
  • Uses AI tools in daily development or is keen to do so.
  • Experience with EDR, endpoint security, or security agents is an advantage.
  • Python experience with Django, FastAPI, or Flask is an advantage.
  • Experience with production web applications and APIs is an advantage.
  • Experience with large-scale data models and high-volume ingestion and storage is an advantage.
  • French language skills are an advantage.
