Advise NYU students and families on financial aid applications, policies, and eligibility. Evaluate and adjust aid packages, maintain compliance, and provide day-to-day leadership to the counseling team.

- Guide prospective, admitted, and enrolled students and their parents through financial aid applications, university policies, procedures, and issue resolution
- Review applications and prepare or update financial aid packages
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and university financial aid requirements
- Reevaluate aid packages in response to appeals, updated financial information, enrollment changes, and other relevant circumstances
- Assess changes to student eligibility and financial aid awards
- Process and manage financial aid application documentation
- Coordinate with Admissions, the Registrar, the Bursar, and external agencies to resolve processing issues and respond to financial aid inquiries
- Provide guidance and daily leadership to the Financial Aid Counseling team in support of the Assistant Directors and Associate Director
Cerințe
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least three years of relevant professional experience in financial aid and student services, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication, and client service abilities
- Comfort working with figures and automated student financial aid systems
- Knowledge of needs analysis and federal and state financial aid programs
- Ability to interpret and apply complex laws, policies, and procedures
- Working familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications
- Experience using Federal Student Aid systems
- Familiarity with the IA Plus Student Information System is preferred
