Remote CNC Programmer, Sheet Metal

Program CAM toolpaths and nesting layouts for sheet-metal production, supporting Australian manufacturers remotely. Ensure programs and material plans meet production schedules, quality standards, and customer specifications.

Descriere

  • Create CNC programs for sheet-metal fabrication using laser, punch, and press equipment.
  • Interpret technical drawings, design files, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Build and validate programs in CAM software such as PEP, Boost, Amada, or similar platforms.
  • Optimise nesting layouts to use material efficiently and reduce waste.
  • Check programs before and after processing for accuracy, quality, and alignment with customer requirements.
  • Maintain records for stock, remnants, consignment, and orders.
  • Schedule programming work around production needs and deadlines.
  • Work with production, drafting, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and improve programming and manufacturing processes.

Cerințe

  • Experience in CNC programming for sheet-metal fabrication, manufacturing, or a comparable setting.
  • Able to interpret technical drawings, design files, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Practical experience with CAM software such as PEP, Boost, Amada, or equivalent tools.
  • Knowledge of CNC programming, nesting, and material optimisation.
  • Experience programming laser, punch, and press equipment.
  • Careful, organised, and effective at problem-solving and time management, with the ability to meet deadlines independently.
  • Strong communication and computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • At least three years of CNC programming or machine operation experience.
  • Relevant trade qualifications are an advantage.
  • Experience with computer modelling software is an advantage.
