Descriere

Direct structural design for mission-critical data center facilities with a focus on prefabricated and modular construction
Define structural strategy, design standards, and technical decisions from concept through construction
Act as technical authority for foundations, steel and concrete framing, floor systems, equipment supports, and modular deployments
Develop structural requirements, reference designs, technical standards, and design controls across platforms and jurisdictions
Design modular skids, precast elements, factory-built PODs, and off-site assembled MEP yards
Account for manufacturing, transport, lifting, rigging, installation, tolerances, and module interfaces
Review and complete load analyses for raised floors, equipment racks, generators, cooling systems, and mechanical equipment
Set technical direction for seismic, wind, and building-code compliance
Coordinate with architecture, civil, MEP, manufacturing, fabrication, construction, and regional delivery teams
Lead structural, shop drawing, and constructability reviews while resolving structural interface issues
Review fabricator calculations, shop drawings, and technical submittals
Lead constructability and value-engineering reviews covering modular sequencing, logistics, installation, safety, reliability, and delivery speed
Assess existing facilities and develop structural solutions for power and cooling density upgrades
Mentor engineers and establish rigorous review practices for calculations, design packages, and technical decisions
Perform site visits, construction observations, and visits to fabrication and off-site manufacturing facilities

Cerințe

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or a related discipline
Professional Engineer license
At least 10 years of structural engineering experience
At least four years supporting data centers or other mission-critical facilities
Practical experience designing structural systems for modular or prefabricated construction
Proven design experience with foundations, steel and concrete framing, floor systems, and equipment supports
Experience designing foundations for heavy equipment subject to varied vibration, movement, and operating conditions
Experience managing structural requirements for transporting, lifting, and rigging prefabricated modules
Advanced knowledge of ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC, IBC, and other applicable structural standards and building codes
Proficiency with ETABS, SAP2000, RISA, or RAM
Strong understanding of seismic and wind design across multiple jurisdictions
Experience reviewing structural calculations, design packages, fabricator shop drawings, technical submittals, and construction documents
Ability to lead complex technical decisions and influence cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority
Strong written and verbal communication, technical problem-solving, collaboration, and stakeholder-management abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and technical workstreams in a fast-paced environment
Ability to travel for construction observations, site visits, and fabrication-facility visits
