  • Set architecture standards for data warehouses, lakes, and lakehouses.
  • Develop data and AI governance strategies covering lineage, quality, catalogs, access controls, and evaluation data.
  • Define scalable batch and streaming systems and orchestration approaches.
  • Guide enterprise modeling across dimensional, Data Vault, data mesh, and data product approaches.
  • Lead AI/ML data foundations, including feature stores, embeddings, vector stores, RAG, and real-time retrieval pipelines.
  • Design semantic layers, knowledge graphs, and pipelines for unstructured data.
  • Set standards for infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and observability.
  • Improve performance, scale, cost efficiency, and reliability across data platforms.
  • Oversee security, governance, and compliance for data assets.
  • Prototype solutions, write production code, and review designs and pull requests.
  • Apply modern AI assistants to improve delivery quality and speed.
  • Advise senior leaders and clients on data strategy as the principal technical voice.
  • Contribute to pre-sales work and client discussions.
  • Explain complex data architecture to technical and executive audiences.
  • Coordinate architecture across engineering, AI, analytics, and product teams.
  • Set standards for documentation, modeling, governance, and data contracts.
  • Create reusable accelerators, reference architectures, and templates.
  • Coach experienced engineers and architects.
  • Make senior technical decisions on complex architecture and integration challenges.
  • Assess emerging technologies and recommend better tools and patterns.

Cerințe

  • Bring senior expertise in architecture for warehouses, data lakes, and lakehouses.
  • Have experience with medallion architecture and open table formats.
  • Understand data governance, lineage, quality, cataloging, access control, and evaluation data.
  • Have experience defining large-scale batch and streaming systems and orchestration.
  • Bring expertise in dimensional modeling, Data Vault, data mesh, and data product approaches.
  • Have experience designing AI/ML data foundations, including feature stores, embeddings, vector stores, RAG, and real-time retrieval pipelines.
  • Have experience with semantic layers, knowledge graphs, and unstructured document, text, image, and audio pipelines.
  • Understand infrastructure as code, CI/CD, and observability.
  • Understand GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2, PII, data residency, and audit readiness.
  • Have experience writing production code and reviewing pull requests.
  • Have experience using Claude, Cursor, or other modern AI assistants.
  • Be able to advise senior leaders and clients on data strategy and platform direction.
  • Be able to support pre-sales through solution design, scoping, estimates, proposals, and client discussions.
  • Be able to mentor experienced engineers and architects.
  • Be able to assess emerging technologies and recommend tools, frameworks, and patterns.
  • Be prepared for a background check if required.
  • Be located in Canada or the United States.
