- Set Reuters’ audience development strategy across social media, newsletters, search, community and audience insights
- Work with editors, journalists and newsroom leaders to incorporate audience needs into coverage plans and digital storytelling
- Use audience data, performance metrics and reader behavior to inform editorial choices and advise newsroom leaders
- Lead, mentor and develop a global team of editors, strategists and platform specialists
- Direct newsletter strategy, optimization and audience segmentation
- Build community engagement around major coverage, live journalism and Reuters events, including Reuters NEXT
- Coordinate with editorial, product, visuals, video, audio and commercial teams to deliver connected audience experiences
- Set Reuters’ search engine optimization strategy for an AI-driven landscape
- Promote responsible testing of emerging platforms, formats and AI while upholding Reuters’ journalistic standards

- Substantial experience leading audience, digital or editorial teams at a major newsroom or media organization
- In-depth knowledge of social platforms, newsletters, search engine optimization and audience analytics
- Strong grasp of subscriptions, reader engagement and audience growth
- Track record of using audience data and performance insights to guide editorial strategy and newsroom decisions
