Data Engineer, Databricks and PySpark
Build and support Databricks, PySpark, and SQL pipelines for AXON Networks’ AI-driven telecom orchestration platform. Help keep lakehouse datasets traceable, tested, and production-ready in Madrid.
Descriere
- Develop scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines with Databricks, PySpark, and SQL.
- Create and maintain Databricks Jobs and Workflows for data ingestion and processing.
- Build lakehouse datasets, manage schema changes and data contracts, and preserve traceability to upstream sources.
- Maintain data quality and freshness so downstream users receive reliable datasets within required processing windows.
- Create and maintain automated unit, integration, and regression tests for data pipelines.
- Investigate pipeline issues in QA and production, find root causes, and implement fixes.
- Optimize Spark jobs and data transformations for performance and efficiency.
- Work across the software lifecycle with Development, Quality Assurance, DevOps, Product Management, and Delivery teams.
- Work directly with large-scale telecommunications data in production platforms.
Cerințe
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- At least two years of professional experience in data engineering or a similar role.
- Practical experience with Python, PySpark, and SQL.
- Understanding of data modeling and lakehouse concepts.
- Familiarity with automated testing and Git-based development workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting data-processing issues.
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
- Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement in Madrid.
- Experience building ETL or ELT pipelines with Apache Spark and Databricks.
- Experience with Delta Lake, Medallion Architecture, schema evolution, or data contracts.
- Experience with Databricks Jobs or Workflows and workload optimization.
- Experience working with large-volume or telecommunications datasets.
