Commercial Lines Underwriting Support Clerk
Support Intact’s commercial insurance underwriting teams by processing broker requests and assigning applications and correspondence. The role serves Edmonton or Calgary teams.

- Route broker requests to underwriting staff based on assigned roles and seniority.
- Distribute daily work and correspondence among underwriting team members.
- Identify, search, record, and distribute applications.
- Prepare materials for mailing with same-day turnaround.
- Order underwriting reports through the computer system as needed.
- Support the management team with assigned tasks.
- Spot and resolve issues, improve workflows, and share updates with the team and management.
- Respond promptly and courteously to routine broker inquiries.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with brokers and colleagues.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Cerințe
- Previous experience is not required; office experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of underwriting principles and practices.
- Strong organization skills to manage workflow efficiently without ongoing supervision.
- Ability to work independently.
- Initiative and ability to work under pressure.
- Keyboarding skills and computer literacy.
- Experience with Windows software and underwriting systems is preferred.
- Ability to become proficient with all computer systems used in the role.
- Strong communication skills.
- Collaborative team approach.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada from the anticipated start date through the duration of employment.
- Canadian work experience is not required.
