Civil Engineer Project Manager

Descriere

  • Direct civil engineering projects from planning and design through approvals, tendering, construction support, and close-out
  • Apply engineering judgment to land development, municipal infrastructure, and site development work
  • Prepare and review engineering drawings, calculations, reports, servicing strategies, specifications, estimates, and construction documents
  • Lead designs for grading, drainage, stormwater management, water and sanitary servicing, roads, earthworks, and utilities
  • Set project scopes, fees, schedules, budgets, resource plans, and delivery strategies
  • Oversee project finances, revenue, profitability, scope, schedules, risks, changes, and overall performance
  • Guide projects through municipal approvals and address regulatory and technical review comments
  • Act as a technical and project management contact for clients, municipalities, developers, contractors, and project partners
  • Build client and industry relationships and seek repeat engagements and new opportunities
  • Develop proposals, project scopes, fees, and delivery approaches
  • Represent WATT in client meetings, industry events, stakeholder workshops, and project presentations
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary project delivery professionals
  • Work with civil engineering, geomatics, transportation, geotechnical, environmental, and construction teams
  • Give technical guidance, mentor developing professionals, and strengthen engineering standards, tools, workflows, and quality practices
  • Support resource planning and growth of the civil practice

Cerințe

  • Hold APEGA registration as a P.Eng., P.L.(Eng.), or P.Tech.(Eng.), or be eligible to register within three months of joining WATT
  • Have five to eight years of progressive civil engineering experience, preferably in consulting, land development, municipal infrastructure, or site development
  • Have led civil projects through design, approvals, tendering, construction support, and close-out
  • Bring strong technical knowledge of grading, drainage, stormwater management, water and sanitary servicing, roads, earthworks, and utilities
  • Have experience managing project scopes, fees, budgets, revenue, profitability, and schedules
  • Know Alberta municipal approval processes, regulatory requirements, design standards, and applicable codes and guidelines
  • Have prepared and reviewed drawings, technical reports, calculations, specifications, estimates, schedules, and proposals
  • Be able to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, mentor staff, and handle competing priorities while maintaining quality, schedule, and budget
  • Show a record of building trusted client and industry relationships, developing opportunities, preparing proposals, and contributing to repeat and new business
  • Have working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Hydrologic, hydraulic, or stormwater modelling software experience is an asset
  • Hold a valid Class 5 driver's licence
  • Be able to attend client meetings, site reviews, and project locations as needed
