Join Expleo’s major defence infrastructure programme in Plymouth as a civil engineer focused on design assurance and construction support. You will review technical information, resolve site queries and help ensure designs are implemented effectively on site.
Descriere
- Deliver civil engineering expertise for a major defence infrastructure programme in Plymouth
- Support the construction-phase implementation of civil and structural designs
- Coordinate between design teams, construction teams and site stakeholders
- Assess civil and structural designs, drawings and associated technical documentation
- Address site technical queries and provide design clarifications
- Work with designers, construction teams, contractors and other project stakeholders
- Help identify and resolve design and construction-related issues
- Examine construction documentation, technical submissions and inspection records
- Assist with reviewing inspection and test plans, method statements and construction procedures
- Visit sites and provide technical input to construction activities
- Help control design changes and manage non-conformances
- Share construction feedback and lessons learned with the appropriate design teams
- Follow applicable engineering, safety, quality and project governance procedures
Cerințe
- Applicants must hold sole British nationality
- Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain the required level of UK security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in civil engineering, structural engineering or a closely related discipline
- At least three years of relevant postgraduate engineering experience
- Experience assessing civil or structural engineering designs
- Practical site experience handling technical queries and design clarifications
- Experience supporting construction or design implementation work
- Experience with concrete construction
- Experience collaborating with designers, contractors and other technical stakeholders
- Sound knowledge of civil and structural engineering principles
- Ability to assess engineering designs, drawings and technical documentation
- Ability to understand and answer site-based technical queries
- Strong understanding of construction activities and engineering implementation
- Clear communication skills for working with design, construction and project stakeholders
- Ability to identify technical issues and assist with resolving them
- Strong written communication and technical reporting skills
- Ability to contribute effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team
- Practical, safety-conscious approach to engineering delivery
- Knowledge of reinforced concrete design and construction
- Understanding of inspection and test plans
- Familiarity with technical queries, change requests and non-conformance procedures
- Understanding of construction method statements and temporary works
- Familiarity with design assurance, configuration control or engineering governance processes
