Descriere

  • Conduct physical examinations and document medical histories to determine donor suitability
  • Establish positive relationships with donors and support a satisfactory customer experience
  • Protect the confidentiality of donor and staff information
  • Inform donors about potential hazards
  • Explain general health information and counsel donors about unacceptable test results
  • Assess and manage donor injuries and adverse events
  • Review illness and medication histories to confirm ongoing donor suitability
  • Support employee training activities
  • Administer the employee Hepatitis Vaccine program

Cerințe

  • Hold current education and certification or licensure, as required by the employment state, as an Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Licensed Vocational Nurse
  • Maintain current CPR certification
  • Speak both English and Spanish
  • Be able to stand and sit for up to 2 to 4 hours per day each
  • Be able to bend and twist the neck for 1 to 2 hours per day
  • Perform frequent hand movements and precise coordinated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists
  • Perform frequent foot movements and, rarely, squat, crouch, or sit on the heels
  • Lift 15 pounds routinely and up to 50 pounds maximum
  • Have essential hearing acuity
  • Meet correctable color perception or discrimination, near-vision, and far-vision requirements
  • Communicate effectively and understand spoken and written instructions
  • Work independently and follow oral or written directions
  • Perform varied tasks in changing conditions
  • Handle sensitive information involving diverse groups
  • Work with biological fluids and potentially infectious organisms
  • Operate electrical office and laboratory equipment
  • Work in extreme cold below 32°F while performing plasma-freezer functions
  • Use required personal protective equipment, including protective eyewear, garments, gloves, and cold-weather gear
