Automated Test Applications Engineer – C#, System Design and Integration
Applications engineer creating C# software and integrated automated test systems for Teradyne’s defense and aerospace solutions. This full-time onsite role supports system design, hardware integration, debugging, and customer-focused test development.
Descriere
- Translate complex customer needs into complete automated test solutions spanning fixturing, cabling, and software
- Present solution strategies to internal and external stakeholders during formal system design reviews
- Partner with electrical and mechanical engineers to direct designs that align with the overall test strategy
- Build C# software to control automated test equipment and custom fixturing
- Integrate software and hardware, diagnose faults, and resolve system-level issues
- Create operator interfaces in test executive platforms such as TestStand
- Produce software documentation, including operator manuals and version description documents
- Apply knowledge of high-speed digital buses, Ethernet, analog signals, power systems, and related electrical technologies
Cerințe
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline
- At least two years of relevant application engineering or test development experience with a bachelor’s degree, or a recently completed master’s degree
- Proficiency in C# or another object-oriented programming language
- Experience using Visual Studio or a comparable integrated development environment and debugging tools
- Working knowledge of Git or another source control system
- Ability to diagnose electrical hardware with tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes
- Strong technical presentation and communication skills
- Availability to work onsite full time, five days per week
- Willingness to travel occasionally, up to 10% or more
- Must meet ITAR eligibility requirements as a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, asylee, refugee, or other person lawfully admitted under an amnesty program
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
- Experience with test executive platforms such as TestStand or TestStudio is preferred
- Experience with Spectrum 9100, Spectrum HS, or comparable automated test equipment is preferred
