Accountant, Fargo Hybrid
Support financial reporting, reconciliations, and billing for ShareHouse’s addiction and mental health services. Manage EHR insurance payments, accounts receivable, audit support, and general ledger activities.
Descriere
- Prepare and post routine, recurring, and complex adjusting journal entries
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts
- Post insurance payments in the EHR and reconcile them with bank activity and the general ledger
- Bill clients and Recovery Living, maintaining accurate, timely, and well documented accounts receivable
- Provide backup support for accounts payable and payroll runs as needed
- Reconcile credit card statements and investigate discrepancies
- Prepare schedules and supporting documents for the annual audit
- Post payroll entries to the general ledger
- Review accounts receivable, calculate allowances and bad debt, and record revenues
- Coordinate with other departments on billing and EHR workflows
- Attend meetings and serve on committees as assigned
- Carry out other assigned duties
Cerințe
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field plus two years of accounting experience, or an associate degree in accounting or finance plus five years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP, general ledger accounting, and reconciliations
- Proficiency with Excel and accounting systems
- Reliable, punctual attendance and availability to work the schedule required by business needs
- Ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to meet physical requirements including stooping, bending, color vision, lifting and carrying up to 15 pounds, oral communication, fine motor skills, reaching and grasping, and occasional lifting over 15 pounds
- Preferred: Background in nonprofit, healthcare, or human services settings
- Preferred: Experience with EHR billing or posting insurance payments
- Preferred: Experience with Business Central or a similar ERP
- Preferred: Experience supporting audits or regulatory reviews
