Senior Product Counsel, Investment Products

Apraksts

  • Lead legal support for the global Yield team from early product design through launches, market expansion, and ongoing changes.
  • Advise on the legal and regulatory requirements for introducing Yield or similar products in new jurisdictions.
  • Coordinate with local regulatory colleagues and outside counsel.
  • Turn requirements across jurisdictions into product specifications, customer terms, disclosures, and launch-readiness materials.
  • Work with Product, Regulatory Legal, Compliance, Licensing, Risk, Product Marketing, Operations, and regulated partners.
  • Create legal playbooks, launch checklists, governance processes, and repeatable working methods.
  • Coordinate legal advice across the United States, Canada, Singapore, Australia, Europe, and other markets.
  • Support the growth of Airwallex’s Yield product, which connects customers’ multi-currency cash to money-market funds to help them earn returns.

Prasības

  • JD or equivalent law degree.
  • Active membership of the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • At least five years of legal experience after qualification.
  • Experience at a top-tier law firm or in a comparable financial services legal role.
  • Experience advising on investment products, wealth or investment management, broker-dealer arrangements, custody, investment-management structures, or related customer disclosures and documentation.
  • Strong experience in regulatory advice and product counseling.
  • Substantial experience advising on wealth-management products.
  • Experience advising on licensing or setting up investment services.
  • Experience with a U.S. broker-dealer, FINRA-regulated service or product, or comparable arrangement is preferred.
  • Ability to work strategically with non-lawyers and turn legal and regulatory requirements into practical solutions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to manage complex legal work across jurisdictions and competing priorities.
  • Curiosity and ability to learn quickly.
  • In-house experience in fintech, financial services, wealth or asset management, securities, brokerage, or another regulated financial-services sector is preferred.
  • Experience working with banks, broker-dealers, custodians, investment managers, or other regulated partners is preferred.
  • Experience with securities, investment-adviser, investor-protection, fiduciary, suitability, or comparable regulatory frameworks across multiple jurisdictions is preferred.
  • Experience developing legal playbooks, product-governance processes, or launch checklists is preferred.
  • Experience supporting product launches or market expansion across multiple jurisdictions is preferred.
