Senior IT Analyst, Snowflake Infrastructure — Caterpillar
Manage Caterpillar’s Snowflake factory data platform and support developers worldwide. Build SQL solutions, administer the platform, and help deliver production data products.

- Maintain Caterpillar’s Snowflake infrastructure across Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and Data Mart layers
- Run daily technical support sessions for contribution-model developers and resolve development blockers
- Handle access and permission requests, contributor onboarding, training, and completion testing
- Explain the three-layer architecture and guide contributors through moving data products into production
- Build SQL-based Snowflake solutions for data-product issues and special projects
- Assess new Snowflake capabilities and advise developers on using them effectively
- Turn business-process needs into technical documentation and development requirements
- Work with stakeholders and technical teams in the United States, India, and other locations
- Identify platform issues and coordinate their resolution
- Apply controls that support platform stability, security, and availability
- Troubleshoot data quality, integration, and query issues
- Create or modify database objects and queries for production delivery
- Record reusable solutions for new data-product challenges
- Clarify business needs and align expected outcomes with business users and developers
Prasības
- Experience administering Snowflake, including user access, permissions, contributor enablement, ingestion workflows, and platform configuration
- SQL development experience for Snowflake data products and special projects
- Ability to diagnose data-quality, integration, and query issues
- Ability to create or modify database objects and queries for production delivery
- Python skills for ingestion or automation, where applicable
- Ability to support a large contributor community and lead recurring technical discussions
- Ability to explain technical concepts, standards, and next steps in clear business language
- Ability to guide contributor onboarding, training, and completion testing
- Ability to turn factory or operational processes into concise technical documentation
- Knowledge of manufacturing or factory business processes
- Familiarity with Caterpillar terminology and cross-functional workflows
- Snowflake certification or a comparable data-platform credential
- Availability to work onsite five days per week
