Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Design and automate AWS and Azure infrastructure for Global Payments, supporting hybrid enterprise platforms. The role focuses on security, compliance, reliability, and infrastructure operations.

Apraksts

  • Design, optimize, support, and automate cloud infrastructure for business platforms.
  • Develop and implement cloud designs primarily across AWS and Azure, including related on-premises and hybrid services.
  • Support automated provisioning and hardening, PaaS offerings, load balancer rules, and firewall policies.
  • Lead engineering work across concurrent projects with business owners, product teams, and application teams.
  • Maintain and automate installation and configuration procedures.
  • Cross-train and mentor colleagues while building shared knowledge of the tools in use.
  • Develop and support technical policies and procedures with management and technical peers.
  • Provide operational teams with procedures, keeping them accurate and clear.
  • Lead compliance and security work for systems managed by the team.
  • Improve infrastructure service stability and availability.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers and Infrastructure Coordinators on project progress, issues, and solutions.

Prasības

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience designing and operating both AWS and Azure environments.
  • Five to seven years of systems administration, design, engineering, or comparable IT technical experience.
  • Experience with enterprise source code repositories, particularly GitHub Enterprise.
  • Experience with deployment management and CI/CD pipelines, particularly Jenkins and Harness.
  • Experience using multiple active scripting languages.
  • Strong infrastructure-as-code skills, especially with Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, and Python.
  • Strong knowledge of multiple Linux distributions and Windows Server.
  • Experience administering Linux and Windows Server through scripted or automated processes.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, DFS, and Group Policy.
  • Understanding of virtual environments, including VMware ESXi, vCenter, vCAC, and VDIs.
  • Working knowledge of automation orchestration across lifecycle environments.
  • Understanding of configuration management and software deployment principles.
  • Network principles and architecture experience is a plus.
  • Experience with enterprise monitoring solutions is a plus.
  • Experience with storage technologies, storage principles, and SANs is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ownership of tasks, projects, and responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven troubleshooting method.
  • Willingness to work outside standard hours, including on-call schedules and project release windows.
  • Willingness to contribute innovative ideas and solutions.
  • Strong organizational, task management, and time management skills.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.
