Apraksts

  • Manage accounting operations and financial reporting across U.S. and Canadian entities.
  • Direct monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, including general ledger reviews, reconciliations, financial statements, and multi-entity reporting.
  • Standardize accounting methods and reporting practices across North American operations.
  • Work with regional leaders and school teams on budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and financial planning.
  • Review results against budgets and forecasts, investigate trends and variances, and provide practical guidance.
  • Create reporting packages and dashboards that clarify financial performance.
  • Oversee internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
  • Maintain compliance with relevant U.S. and Canadian accounting standards, tax rules, and reporting obligations.
  • Coordinate external audits and assist with tax returns, regulatory reports, and remediation of risks or control gaps.
  • Refine accounting workflows, reporting processes, and financial systems.
  • Find ways to cut manual work, align procedures, and introduce processes that can scale.
  • Work with school and operations teams to strengthen financial data collection, documentation, and compliance with procedures.
  • Guide and develop finance and accounting colleagues.
  • Build working relationships with school leaders, regional executives, Affinitas’s broader finance team, and external finance partners.
  • Raise financial issues early, propose remedies, and share effective practices.

Prasības

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA credential preferred.
  • Relevant background in accounting, financial reporting, and controllership.
  • Substantial experience in accounting, financial reporting, and controllership, preferably in a multi-entity or multi-location organization.
  • Strong technical accounting expertise and experience leading month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Solid grounding in technical accounting.
  • Ability to deliver accurate, timely, dependable financial reports.
  • Skill in investigating variances, tracing root causes, and resolving issues.
  • Ability to clearly explain financial results, accounting requirements, and complex topics.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with regional leaders, school administrators, and finance colleagues across locations.
