Apraksts

  • Design and calculate columns, beams, slabs, foundations, and lateral structural systems.
  • Engineer structures using steel, concrete, masonry, cold-formed steel, and wood.
  • Coordinate engineering drawings and contract documents with BIM technologists and the engineering team.
  • Carry out site reviews and other contract administration tasks.
  • Prepare project correspondence.
  • Attend client meetings, help resolve design issues, and share project updates.
  • Review architectural, electrical, mechanical, and structural drawings.
  • Apply quality assurance tools, complete checklists, and submit them to the project engineer.
  • Guide junior staff on project design and delivery to maintain standards.

Prasības

  • Hold an engineering degree focused on civil and structural engineering.
  • Have 4–8 years of professional experience in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry.
  • Hold professional engineering status or preferably be working toward it.
  • Know the applicable building codes.
  • Demonstrate project management skills and a record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Have working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Be able to use structural analysis software such as SAP2000 and RAM.
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be able to work with project stakeholders and clients at all levels.
  • Be able to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deliverables on an ongoing basis.
  • Knowledge of and interest in embodied carbon are considered assets.
