Principal Highways Engineer - Noida Onsite

Lead highway and drainage design projects in an onsite Principal Highways Engineer role with Mott MacDonald in Noida. The position combines technical leadership, team mentoring, stakeholder management, budgeting, and project delivery.

Aprašymas

  • Lead and mentor engineers and designers across the team
  • Direct highway projects from initial concept through completion while meeting client requirements, budgets, and schedules
  • Provide technical direction for highway design in line with industry standards and established best practices
  • Work with clients, contractors, and public agencies to clarify requirements, report progress, and resolve challenges
  • Act as a technical specialist applying advanced engineering methods and strategies
  • Develop innovative approaches to project design and implementation
  • Oversee team members across technical delivery and project management activities
  • Support the technical development and career progression of team members
  • Coordinate internal client communications and track project budgets
  • Contribute to recruitment and business development initiatives
  • Develop fee proposals
  • Maintain a positive team culture and supportive working environment

Reikalavimai

  • Bachelor’s or postgraduate qualification in Civil Engineering or an equivalent discipline
  • Membership in a recognised professional institution; progress toward chartership is advantageous
  • At least 12 years of highway design experience
  • Extensive highway design expertise covering road geometry, junction layouts, road restraint systems, circulation plans, pavement design, signage, and road markings
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing stakeholder relationships
  • Experience directing and checking applicable design software, including Civil 3D, Open Roads, Infraworks, Navisworks, PDS/Key Line and Sign, AutoCAD, ProjectWise, and Auto-turn or vehicle tracking
  • Experience using at least one 3D design platform, such as Autodesk Civil 3D, Navisworks, Infraworks, or Bentley InRoads/OpenRoads
  • Experience collaborating with clients, specialist professionals, and design teams
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills
  • Effective time management and well-developed organisational abilities
  • Experience managing design teams of varying sizes
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status with a recognised professional institution is advantageous
  • Familiarity with BIM and common data environment tools such as Bentley ProjectWise, Autodesk BIM 360, and/or Microsoft SharePoint is beneficial
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Navisworks is advantageous but not essential
  • A valid Right to Work document in India, subject to verification during recruitment
