- Manage relationships with mid-level and major donors and prospective supporters.
- Create engagement, solicitation, and stewardship plans that deepen donor commitment and build pathways to major gifts.
- Develop engagement strategies for donor-advised fund sponsors, philanthropic advisors, and other influential intermediaries.
- Give relationship managers resources and guidance to build partnerships with donors’ advisors.
- Work with colleagues to improve website journeys, digital communications, and managed lending options.
- Represent Kiva in conversations with donors and philanthropic advisors.
- Share expertise through articles, conference presentations, and other thought leadership.
- Organize and host in-person and virtual donor events.
- Coordinate gift records and donor commitments with Finance and Strategic Partnerships colleagues.
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering to improve donor communications and engagement.
- Turn impact data and borrower stories into proposals, reports, presentations, newsletters, and other donor materials.
- Keep donor records up to date and monitor relationship activity, prospect pipelines, fundraising, and engagement goals.
- Coordinate donor messaging with Marketing and Communications.
- Write and edit persuasive communications for donors.
- Use campaign and event results to refine outreach, calls to action, donor engagement, and lead generation.

- Be authorized to work permanently and full time in the United States.
- Have at least five years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, strategic partnerships, or a related field, including cultivating and stewarding individual donors and prospects.
- Have experience developing donor engagement strategies and guiding prospects toward meaningful philanthropic commitments.
- Know donor-advised funds, philanthropic advisors, and major giving; experience engaging these audiences is a plus.
- Bring strong writing and editing skills.
- Be able to turn complex programs and impact data into compelling proposals, reports, and donor communications.
- Have experience collaborating across functions and independently managing multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholder relationships.
- Be comfortable using a CRM such as Salesforce and digital engagement data to track activity, run reports, assess results, and refine strategies.
- Show sound judgment and strong relationship-building skills.
- Be confident representing an organization to donors and external partners.
- Be committed to Kiva’s mission and values, including financial inclusion, equity, and respect for the communities it serves.
- Live in Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Oregon, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia, or Washington.
