Staff iOS SDK Engineer, Unity Ads SDK - New York City Onsite
Lead the architecture, performance, and implementation of Unity’s iOS Ads SDK. Build monetization tools that help game developers improve revenue and engagement.

- Set the technical direction for the iOS SDK and deliver major architectural initiatives
- Develop robust SDK components in Swift
- Collaborate with Android engineers on shared SDK architecture, APIs, and functionality
- Drive complex projects from problem definition and technical design through rollout, measurement, and refinement
- Resolve production issues involving app lifecycle, concurrency, memory, networking, rendering, WebViews, and host-app integration
- Optimize SDK initialization, ad loading and rendering, memory consumption, binary size, crash rates, observability, and release reliability
- Support engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and hands-on mentoring
- Identify architectural risks and opportunities to strengthen the platform

- Extensive expertise developing and shipping production iOS software
- Expert knowledge of Swift with strong familiarity with Objective-C
- Thorough understanding of iOS app lifecycle, memory management, concurrency, networking, rendering, and performance optimization
- Experience designing and maintaining SDKs, frameworks, or libraries embedded in third-party apps, including API design, backward compatibility, versioning, dependency management, and release practices
- Working knowledge of Android development concepts and the ability to work with Kotlin and Java code
- Experience investigating complex production issues with profiling, crash reports, logs, and metrics
- Demonstrated leadership of technically complex projects involving multiple engineers or teams
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for shaping technical direction
- Professional proficiency in spoken and written English
- Additional experience with mobile advertising, monetization, mediation, or measurement SDKs
- Additional experience with WKWebView and native-to-web communication, or StoreKit, SKAdNetwork, attribution, and privacy APIs
- Additional experience with Unity Engine or other game engines
