Staff Accountant (Remote, U.S.)
Manage accounts payable, receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and financial reporting for Fine Point Consulting clients. Support U.S. startups, nonprofits, and businesses through the firm’s accounting and HR services.

- Process client invoices and record customer payments
- Manage sales tax exemption certificates and prepare sales tax returns
- Process vendor invoices and code credit card transactions
- Set up vendors and manage W-9 documentation and 1099 preparation
- Process internal payroll and related payroll taxes
- Set up new hires and coordinate with client payroll providers
- Record payroll-related accounting transactions
- Prepare account reconciliations
- Prepare financial statements
- Report to the Controller or Team Leader
- Maintain positive relationships with clients, their customers, and their vendors
- Organize priorities, manage workload, and support the team

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
- Strong technology skills, especially with Microsoft Office and Excel
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently with minimal supervision
- Experience working in a paperless environment
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Collaborative team player with a positive, can-do attitude
- Previous experience using QuickBooks Online
- Willingness to learn and adopt new technology
