Senior Software Engineer II, Remote in Illinois
Lead the design and delivery of scalable business applications at CDW, from architecture and testing through Agile project execution. Guide technical teams, mentor developers, and align engineering decisions with product and business goals.

- Manage the full software development lifecycle.
- Own work on smaller projects and serve as technical lead on projects of varied sizes.
- Partner with project managers to define operating needs, costs, and resources.
- Co-lead object-oriented analysis and design, including use cases, object models, and database schemas.
- Contribute to application architecture, system partitioning, and framework design.
- Create system narratives, storyboards, and user interface prototypes.
- Develop detailed hardware and software design specifications.

- Ability to conduct effective code reviews and recommend automated review tools.
- MongoDB expertise is a plus.
- Azure DevOps expertise is a plus.
- Experience with SOLR and/or Elasticsearch, Python, and Spark is a plus.
- Knowledge of machine learning methods, including clustering, decision tree learning, and logistic regression, is a plus.
- Experience with Linux and Windows is a plus.
- Working experience with Azure and Kubernetes is a plus.
- Ability to analyze system performance requirements and lead optimization and tuning is a plus.
