Senior DevOps Manager at GALE — Bengaluru Hybrid
Lead DevOps, platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, SRE, and automation at GALE in a hybrid Bengaluru role. Manage engineering teams while shaping AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, and reliability strategy.

- Lead the DevOps and Platform Engineering function from the Bengaluru office
- Develop cloud-native infrastructure strategy, SRE practices, and large-scale automation programs
- Manage full-time and contract engineers across delivery, performance, development, training, and mentoring
- Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and high performance
- Set the cloud infrastructure strategy across AWS and GCP
- Direct major migrations, infrastructure modernization, and GitHub Enterprise adoption
- Create roadmaps for reliability, automation, observability, and infrastructure enhancement
- Define infrastructure needs with engineering and product leaders
- Establish and lead the SRE function
- Manage incident response, on-call operations, RCA approval, corrective actions, and preventive measures
- Set and enforce SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets
- Govern DevOps processes, CI/CD standards, and pipeline architecture
- Promote AI-assisted development tools and automation
- Oversee Kubernetes orchestration across EKS and OpenShift
- Expand Infrastructure as Code practices with Terraform and Ansible
- Own monitoring, logging, and alerting strategy
- Lead technology audits and compliance programs aligned with ISO certification standards
- Collaborate with security teams on DevSecOps practices
- Report risks, trade-offs, and delivery timelines to leadership

- Bring 8–10 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, platform engineering, or site reliability engineering
- Have at least 2 years of experience managing people
- Demonstrate experience leading cross-functional teams of full-time engineers and contractors
- Bring deep AWS expertise spanning 20 or more services, plus hands-on GCP experience
- Experience with Azure or another cloud platform is advantageous
- Demonstrate strong Kubernetes expertise across AWS EKS and GKE, along with Docker proficiency
- Bring practical Terraform and Ansible experience
- Have designed and managed CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI
- Have established and operated SRE functions, including on-call models, incident management, and RCA processes
- Be proficient with the Grafana Stack, ELK/OpenSearch, and AWS CloudWatch
- Demonstrate strong Python and Shell scripting and automation skills
- Have led or supported technology audits and compliance programs, including ISO certification initiatives
- Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders and senior leaders
- Have experience with JIRA, PagerDuty, or equivalent platforms
