- Shape the technology and customer experience across multiple web products
- Develop scalable platforms, APIs, and backend services
- Manage backend features from initial design through implementation and release
- Work with engineering, Product Management, and Design to clarify requirements and user needs
- Ship reliable, high-quality code within agreed timelines
- Coach junior engineers and interns
- Champion engineering standards and effective development practices
- Address complex architectural and technical challenges
- Enhance system usability, reliability, and performance
- Guide engineering work across planning, design, delivery, and ongoing maintenance
Талаптар
- Canadian work authorization is strongly preferred
- At least five years of experience developing backend APIs, services, and platforms
- Substantial professional experience with Java, Spring, and SQL
- Background building scalable, customer-facing web applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with React, Terraform or Terragrunt, or AWS is a plus
- Able to test your own work and review code from teammates
- Capable of independently driving complex projects from start to finish
- Ready to lead planning, design, delivery, and maintenance for engineering initiatives
