  • Contribute throughout the embedded Android and Linux software lifecycle, from design and development to testing, release support, and maintenance.
  • Build and maintain embedded software and platform components in C/C++.
  • Develop Android BSP and Embedded Linux capabilities, including platform configuration, hardware interfaces, device drivers, and new device features.
  • Help deliver enterprise control systems, digital media, and unified communications products.
  • Diagnose and fix system-level issues across Android and Linux software layers.
  • Troubleshoot defects, improve performance, and resolve bugs.
  • Integrate applications with hardware, connected devices, and control systems.
  • Handle field escalations affecting both new and legacy products.
  • Investigate issues and help improve long-term product reliability.
  • Create and maintain test procedures, design notes, troubleshooting guides, and implementation documentation.
  • Work with hardware, firmware, Android, Linux, and application engineers across countries.
  • Assess complex technical problems, recommend solutions, make engineering decisions, and own work from investigation through implementation and validation.

  • At least 8 years of experience developing, customizing, and debugging embedded software or firmware for Linux- or Android-based products.
  • Strong C/C++ programming skills in embedded or system-level development.
  • Practical experience developing Embedded Linux on ARM platforms, including configuration, builds, deployment, hardware interfaces, and platform bring-up.
  • Experience with the Linux kernel, U-Boot, Device Tree, and low-level platform customization.
  • Hands-on experience developing, optimizing, troubleshooting, and extending device drivers for display, power management, Wi-Fi, GPIO, or other hardware interfaces.
  • Experience with Android HAL and debugging across Android Framework and Linux kernel layers.
  • Solid knowledge of AOSP architecture and Android platform development workflows.
  • Strong understanding of recent Android releases, features, APIs, and changes; Android 14 or later is preferred.
  • Experience using Git, Gerrit, GitHub, ADB, and Fastboot.
  • Ability to debug embedded systems when conventional step-debugging tools are limited or unavailable.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics independently.
  • Ability to work effectively with hardware engineering teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, a sense of ownership, and the ability to work independently.
  • Good written and spoken communication in an international engineering environment.
  • Experience with Android framework services, Android native applications using JNI/NDK, or Android system applications in Java or Kotlin.
  • Experience with hardware-accelerated graphics, particularly OpenGL ES.
  • Experience with Camera, Display, Media, power management, or connectivity subsystems in embedded Android/Linux products.
  • Experience with Bash or Python scripting and automation.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline is advantageous.
