  • Create AI-driven tools and workflows that increase operational efficiency across the business
  • Apply AI to software development, automation, data processing, product operations, customer support, and internal processes
  • Build and support backend services, APIs, integrations, and internal applications
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of a Product Information Management (PIM) system
  • Manage and improve product catalogs containing more than 100,000 SKUs
  • Optimize product imports, supplier feeds, pricing, inventory, categorization, and overall data quality
  • Connect Shopify with CRM, order management, shipping, supplier, and other operational systems
  • Find repetitive or inefficient workflows and develop practical technical improvements
  • Partner with the lead developer on architecture, integrations, and broader engineering projects
  • Assess emerging AI tools and identify effective applications for the business and its development workflows

  • Senior-level software development experience
  • Preferred experience with Python and Django
  • Shopify development experience, including Liquid themes and/or React, Hydrogen, or headless commerce
  • Background with e-commerce platforms, web applications, APIs, and system architecture
  • Proficiency with SQL and database management
  • Experience developing AI- or LLM-powered tools, integrations, and automations
  • Experience with PIM, CRM, ERP, or order management systems
  • Experience handling large product catalogs and structured product data
  • Experience with search technologies such as Algolia or Elasticsearch
  • Experience in furniture, home furnishings, or another product-focused retail sector is advantageous
  • Ability to translate business challenges into practical solutions using AI, automation, and conventional software development
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with the existing development team
