  • Manage end-to-end tax compliance for a simulated portfolio of small owner-managed companies, directors, shareholders, sole proprietors, and family trusts
  • Prepare individual ITR12 returns covering capital gains, supporting certificates, travel logbooks, rental schedules, and auto-assessment checks
  • Complete company ITR14 returns using signed annual financial statements and tax computations
  • Calculate provisional tax for companies and individuals and plan top-up payments
  • Prepare dividends tax returns and arrange the related payments
  • Identify taxable donations and prepare IT144 returns and payments
  • Complete IT3(t) submissions and ITR12T trust returns while tracking distributions and vesting
  • Reconcile EMP201 payments with payroll and issue IRP5 and IT3(a) certificates through EMP501
  • Process requests involving tax numbers, registrations, assessments, statements, and confirmation letters
  • Maintain eFiling profiles, mandates, banking information, registered particulars, account reconciliations, refunds, and Tax Compliance Status PINs
  • Prepare objections, appeals, suspension-of-payment applications, and penalty-remission requests, then monitor their outcomes
  • Handle SARS verifications and audits, provide supporting documentation, and request corrections
  • Register and deregister clients for income tax, provisional tax, PAYE, SDL, UIF, VAT, and SARS Customs
  • Update SARS registered representatives and public officers
  • Arrange instalment payment plans and monitor ongoing compliance
  • Manage client deadline calendars and filing-season priorities
  • Review third-party information, previous assessments, and payments before filing
  • Follow up with simulated clients and bookkeepers for missing documentation
  • Identify VAT registration risks and highlight tax planning considerations
  • Produce professional-quality returns for use as AI training data
  • Record tax procedures, decisions, and professional judgments for AI learning
  • Create, improve, and test AI-based tax workflows
  • Use AI models to prepare returns, draft SARS correspondence, and review completed work

Талаптар

  • BCom degree in Accounting or Taxation, National Diploma in Accounting, or an equivalent qualification
  • One to three years of experience in tax practice or an accounting practice with tax responsibilities, including at least two complete filing seasons and provisional tax cycles
  • Practical SARS eFiling experience covering registrations, ITR12, IRP6, ITR14, and EMP501 submissions, plus responses to verification letters
  • Experience preparing objections or SARS audit responses for senior review
  • Working knowledge of the Income Tax Act and Tax Administration Act, including capital gains, provisional tax, and dispute procedures
  • Ability to manage a personal portfolio of returns through filing season with minimal supervision
  • Strong Excel capability, including lookups, reconciliations, and tax calculations
  • Highly accurate and deadline-focused, with a firm understanding that SARS deadlines and penalties are fixed
  • Clear, courteous written English for client communications, SARS correspondence, and objections
  • Real interest in AI and in translating tax work into clear, teachable processes
  • Confidence working with AI models and critically reviewing their output
  • A Loom video submission is required to progress to the next stage
  • Preferred additions include independent objections and appeals, SARS audits, trusts and IT3(t), donations and dividends tax, SARS Customs, SAIT designation, payroll systems, practice tax software, and Xero, Sage, or Pastel experience
