Data Scientist I - Maryland Remote
Apply predictive analytics and machine learning to structured and unstructured healthcare data at Centene. Build models and scalable analytics tools that support improved member outcomes.

- Apply advanced and predictive analytics using big data and data science technologies to support healthcare innovation
- Analyze structured and unstructured datasets
- Create algorithms tailored to specific business needs
- Build data models that forecast member outcomes and the future effects of key member decisions
- Develop tools to extract, analyze, and appropriately store analytical results
- Perform exploratory analysis on complex data sources and create datasets for operational analysis
- Design and assess experiments to track key metrics and uncover opportunities for improvement
- Develop mathematical and statistical models to identify relevant content or events and detect patterns
- Present research analyses and communicate findings
- Help design automated operational analytics processes that deliver scalable, durable results
Талаптар
- U.S. work authorization is required without the need for current or future employment-based visa sponsorship
- Master’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Informatics, Econometrics, Engineering, or Experimental Science plus at least one year of experience
- Bachelor’s degree plus at least three years of quantitative analysis experience
- Background in data science, including data mining, predictive modeling, machine learning, statistical modeling, large-scale data acquisition and transformation, and structured and unstructured data analysis
- Experience working with database technologies
- Programming experience in R, Python, and SQL
- Experience using RStudio
- Familiarity with Databricks volumes, Delta tables, and notebooks, along with the ability to use them
- Familiarity with Snowflake and the ability to use it
- Experience with predictive modeling, exploratory data analysis, and data visualization
