Cost Controller – Poland (Remote)

Lead global standard-cost updates and manufacturing variance analysis for Embla Medical. Support Finance and Operations through COGS insights, inventory analysis, and cost-control initiatives.

  • Own the annual global standard-cost update cycle and ensure its effective execution.
  • Keep COGS records accurate, including in-year cost updates for existing items.
  • Track and evaluate key cost metrics and manufacturing variances across sites in Iceland and Poland.
  • Deliver inventory and variance analysis to manufacturing management and the Operations Finance Business Partner.
  • Work with local manufacturing directors on cost controls, accounting topics, and savings initiatives.
  • Assist Finance Control with quarterly and year-end close activities, plus COGS and inventory analysis and initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Finance Control, IT, Operations, Finance Business Partners, and manufacturing leaders in Iceland and Poland.
  • Present analysis and actionable insights to stakeholders throughout the organization.
  • Work regular business hours and attend occasional meetings across time zones as required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least three years of relevant professional experience.
  • Strong analytical capability and confidence handling financial and operational data.
  • Experience in international settings and coordinating work across multiple stakeholders.
  • Fluent spoken and written English; Polish language skills are an advantage.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency; SQL experience is an advantage.
  • Project-focused working style with the ability to independently collect, organize, and communicate information.
  • Interest in progressing toward data analytics and applying data to business decisions.
  • Fully remote candidates must be based in Poland.
