Compliance Advisory Director

Advise Capital One UK leaders on FCA regulation, Consumer Duty, conduct and privacy risks. Challenge business decisions and turn regulatory developments into practical requirements.

  • Advise teams across the UK business on complex compliance matters.
  • Help ensure regulatory obligations are understood, embedded and managed effectively.
  • Assess emerging regulatory issues and escalate significant compliance concerns and risks.
  • Provide second-line scrutiny of business decisions, products, processes and customer propositions.
  • Build senior stakeholder relationships while balancing commercial aims with regulatory expectations.
  • Track UK financial services regulation and anticipate changes, including rules for emerging technology and AI.
  • Identify developing regulatory risks and convert them into practical business requirements.
  • Support compliance monitoring, assurance work and thematic reviews.
  • Serve as a senior adviser on data protection matters.
  • Partner with the DPO, Legal, Information Security and business teams.

Талаптар

  • Substantial experience providing senior compliance advice in UK financial services.
  • Strong command of the FCA regulatory framework.
  • Extensive practical experience with Consumer Duty and conduct risk.
  • Able to turn complex regulatory obligations into workable business solutions.
  • In-depth expertise in UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
  • Practical experience carrying out or overseeing data protection risk assessments.
  • Demonstrated ability to challenge constructively and advise senior stakeholders and executive governance committees.
  • Strategic, data-informed approach focused on customer outcomes and operational risk reduction.
  • Able to apply proportionate, risk-based judgement.
  • Expertise in UK financial services compliance, privacy and data protection.
  • Available to work in the office three days each week, Tuesday to Thursday.
