Cloud Data Migration Specialist – Salesforce
Lead Salesforce data migrations for ICF’s GrantLens grants management platform, onboarding federal grant programs through ETL, SQL, validation, and reconciliation.

- Assess source data and lead migrations from planning and extraction through transformation, loading, and validation.
- Review source and target data models, structures, relationships, dependencies, and data quality.
- Create and maintain source-to-target mapping documents, data dictionaries, and transformation rules.
- Use ETL tools, SQL, and Salesforce migration utilities to cleanse, transform, and load data.
- Manage Salesforce data dependencies, including object relationships, external IDs, record ownership, and parent-child links.
- Run mock conversions, troubleshoot issues, and improve migration processes ahead of production deployment.
- Perform production migrations, reconcile records, and validate data after migration.
- Work with business stakeholders to verify migrated data, resolve discrepancies, and secure formal sign-off.
- Keep migration documentation, runbooks, validation reports, and issue logs up to date.
- Help onboard federal grant programs to GrantLens, a large-scale Salesforce grants management application.

- Bring at least 3 years of experience in enterprise data migration, data conversion, ETL development, or data integration.
- Have at least 3 years of experience with data modeling, relational databases, and complex data relationships.
- Have at least 3 years of experience planning and carrying out end-to-end migrations into Salesforce.
- Have at least 2 years of experience with Salesforce Data Loader, Salesforce Inspector, Workbench, Salesforce APIs, or similar migration utilities.
- Have at least 2 years of experience with ETL tools for data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and loading.
- Have at least 2 years of SQL experience, including queries and scripts for profiling, transformation, and validation.
- Have at least 2 years of experience creating source-to-target mappings and managing data quality, reconciliation, and migration exceptions.
- Have experience with Salesforce Public Sector Solutions, Service Cloud, or other enterprise Salesforce applications.
- Understand Salesforce data architecture, including standard and custom objects, lookup and master-detail relationships, and external IDs.
- Have experience with ETL platforms such as Informatica, Talend, MuleSoft, Azure Data Factory, or SSIS.
- Have experience with Salesforce Bulk API and large-volume data migration methods.
- Have experience automating migration, validation, and reconciliation processes.
- Have experience preparing migration cutover plans, rollback procedures, and production runbooks.
- Have experience supporting federal government or other complex enterprise data migration initiatives.
- Be familiar with FISMA, FedRAMP, and NIST security and compliance requirements.
- Hold relevant Salesforce or data management certifications.
