Virtual Technical Assessment Team Analyst – MANTECH Remote

Support MANTECH’s U.S. Navy aircraft carrier modernization programs as a Virtual Technical Assessment Team Analyst. Coordinate Ship Change Documents, technical reviews, engineering stakeholders, status reporting, and briefings for senior officials.

Description

  • Support warfare systems across U.S. Navy nuclear-powered aircraft carriers, including command and control, navigation, communications, combat, countermeasures, fire control, afloat networks, and special-purpose systems.
  • Coordinate technical approval letters for Ship Alterations and Technical Assessment Team reviews of Ship Change Documents.
  • Assist the Virtual Technical Assessment Team Lead with Ship Change Document responsibilities for Nimitz and Ford Class aircraft carriers.
  • Keep the VTAT Lead updated on assignments, changing priorities, efficiency initiatives, and backlog reduction.
  • Prepare weekly Ship Change Document status reports for the VTAT Lead’s reporting to the Project Manager for Modernization, PMS 312E.
  • Provide operational updates when the VTAT Lead is unavailable.
  • Work with Engineering Agents, Technical Authorities, TYCOM, PMS 312, PMS 378, SUPSHIP Newport News, Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Ship Repair Facility, and other organizations to resolve technical issues.
  • Evaluate technical data packages, drawings, reports, logistics materials, and training content, then provide technical recommendations.
  • Create formal presentations for briefings with senior officials.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
  • At least three years of experience developing and managing ship change documentation or performing comparable document control work.
  • Previous experience with CVN 68 or CVN 78 Class systems.
  • Experience working with U.S. Navy vessels, preferably nuclear-powered ships.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel at all organizational levels.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Current or active Secret clearance, or the ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance before starting.
  • Ability to remain stationary for approximately 50% of the workday.
  • Ability to occasionally move around the office to access files and equipment or communicate with colleagues, managers, and customers through email, telephone, or virtual channels.
