USAA Actuarial Analyst Intern — San Antonio Onsite

Support USAA’s insurance pricing, valuation, and risk analysis work as an actuarial intern. Build models, prepare projections, and produce reports under supervision.

Description

  • Coordinate and complete actuarial analyses for new products, projections, repricing, and financial strength assessments
  • Develop working knowledge of USAA’s business, products, and processes
  • Use actuarial modeling software for pricing, valuation, and risk management
  • Input data and tables, run models, and prepare reports under direct supervision
  • Follow established risk management, compliance procedures, and guidance
  • Handle routine assignments and resolve issues to support other team members

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher at an accredited college or university
  • Expect to graduate after the internship ends
  • Have a graduation date from August 2027 through June 2029, with no graduation before August 13, 2027
  • Study Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, or a related listed discipline
  • Demonstrate foundational, conceptual knowledge of actuarial work and business operations
  • Be preparing for or have completed at least one actuarial examination
  • Communicate or present technical subjects effectively to varied audiences
  • Show leadership through work, extracurricular activities, community service, or other involvement
  • Have previous quantitative internship or related work experience
  • Know programming languages or tools such as SQL, VBA, SAS, R, or Python
  • Understand and apply data analysis and actuarial methods
  • Not require immigration support now or in the future, including H-1B, TN, or STEM OPT Training Plans
