Staff Mobile Engineer, Flutter Consumer App
Lead the architecture and evolution of Moonshot’s Flutter cryptocurrency trading app across iOS and Android. Own mobile design systems, performance, testing, and interactive trading features.
Description
- Own the architecture and long-term evolution of Moonshot’s Flutter app across iOS and Android
- Create and maintain a company-wide mobile design system and component library in partnership with Design
- Build interactive trading features such as live prices, charts, order tickets, order history, notifications, and portfolio views
- Improve mobile performance and reliability through profiling, frame-rendering optimization, memory and network management, and crash reduction
- Develop and maintain automated unit, widget, and integration tests
- Help establish release and quality assurance processes
- Integrate analytics, A/B testing, feature flags, and event tracking with Product and Growth teams
- Collaborate with Backend and Platform engineers on API design, data models, error handling, retries, fallbacks, and offline behavior
- Provide technical leadership through code reviews, design documents, and mentorship
- Join mobile on-call rotations and lead root-cause remediation
- Advance Moonshot’s iOS and Android cryptocurrency trading experience
Requirements
- Bring 6–10 or more years of professional mobile development experience
- Have ideally 3 or more years of production Flutter experience, or experience with React Native, Kotlin, or Swift
- Demonstrate end-to-end ownership of large-scale consumer applications
- Bring experience in fintech, trading, or similarly demanding technical domains
- Understand mobile architecture fundamentals, including state management, navigation, and modularization
- Have built or led design systems or UI libraries in Flutter or comparable frameworks
- Bring experience with testing, mobile CI/CD, monitoring, and release management
- Collaborate effectively across teams
- Have experience mentoring other engineers
- Be able to work in the USA or Canada, subject to the role’s remote eligibility and authorization requirements
