- Scale Discord’s systems for reviewing and detecting harmful content across the platform
- Build and operate production services designed for massive scale
- Take part in scheduled on-call rotations
- Assess security threats, abuse scenarios, edge cases, and scalability risks through an adversarial engineering approach

Requirements
- Bring at least three years of professional software engineering experience focused on backend services or infrastructure, using Python or a similar language
- Have experience building and operating distributed systems and production services at scale on platforms such as Google Cloud Platform or AWS
- Demonstrate strong debugging abilities and confidence navigating complex, multi-service codebases
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners
