Description

  • Advise clients on treasury strategy, operating models, liquidity, payments, risk, policy, and governance
  • Design and strengthen treasury processes, structures, and controls, including cash pooling, in-house banking, and payment factories
  • Assess foreign exchange, interest rate, and commodity exposures and develop practical hedging approaches
  • Evaluate treasury practices, define technology roadmaps, support vendor selection, and contribute to system implementations
  • Lead assigned workstreams while managing scope, quality, and delivery timelines
  • Assess client situations, compare viable options, and recommend suitable courses of action
  • Manage several concurrent projects and adapt as priorities change
  • Build effective client relationships and manage stakeholder expectations
  • Coach junior colleagues and provide practical feedback
  • Develop new business and project opportunities in Belgium and internationally
  • Support proposals, RFPs, client presentations, events, and networking activities
  • Monitor treasury, regulatory, and technology developments and apply relevant insights to client engagements
  • Lead or support treasury boot camps, guest lectures, and internal knowledge-sharing sessions
  • Contribute to internal initiatives across Zanders offices

Requirements

  • Three to five years of experience in corporate treasury or treasury consulting
  • Strong working knowledge of treasury management, cash and liquidity, payments, bank connectivity, and in-house banking
  • Practical familiarity with daily and month-end treasury operations and processes
  • Confidence working directly with clients and developing a professional network
  • Experience owning workstreams and managing competing priorities
  • Fluent written and spoken English
  • Eligibility to work in Belgium
  • Dutch language skills are useful but not required
  • Implementation experience with treasury management systems such as SAP, FIS, ION, or Kyriba, plus related tools such as SWIFT
  • Experience managing financial risks, including foreign exchange, interest rate, or commodity hedging
  • A professional qualification such as ACT or a relevant master’s degree
  • French language skills are useful for working with clients across Belgium
