Senior Tax Analyst (US Indirect Tax) — Poland Remote
Lead US sales, use, and personal property tax compliance for Akamai’s global technology business. Manage returns, reconciliations, audits, and tax authority information requests.
Description
- Research US state tax laws and support state and local requirements for sales, use, and personal property taxes
- Review Excel spreadsheets and work papers for sales, use, and personal property tax returns
- Coordinate with external tax providers on compliance activities and tax audits
- Work with tax authorities to resolve notices and information requests
- Analyze tax accounts and complete required reconciliations
- Partner with Finance teams by providing tax expertise for financial operations
- Coordinate electronic funds transfers for tax payments
- Review exemption certificates to confirm sales tax is remitted to the correct jurisdictions
- Apply best practices and support ongoing process improvements
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in US indirect tax compliance or consulting
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Ability to produce data-backed analyses and actionable insights
- Ability to prepare clear, concise documentation and work papers
- Very good English communication and writing skills
- Strong written and verbal communication in English
- High ethical standards and personal integrity
- Personal drive and commitment to Akamai’s values
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
