Senior SAP SD Technical Architect, Order to Cash

Description

  • Turn business requirements into solution architecture documents that define the context for new solutions.
  • Shape technology solutions and project goals with Domain Architects and Product or Project Managers.
  • Keep solution architecture aligned with program and project design standards.
  • Maintain and evolve existing SAP application capabilities.
  • Design, deliver, and optimize end-to-end sales, logistics, and order management processes in SAP S/4HANA.
  • Assess the enterprise context and help set and deliver the Order-to-Cash IT roadmap.
  • Improve product operations in line with business objectives.
  • Review requirements with product managers, global process owners, and business analysts.
  • Work with implementation partners and system integrators on functional and technical designs.
  • Lead implementations and development work, maintaining functional and technical documentation.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for SAP Sales and Distribution and integrations between SAP and satellite systems.
  • Lead SAP SD requirements and enhancements for the sales-to-cash process.
  • Track risks and mitigation plans while improving solution efficiency.
  • Assess the SAP landscape for gaps, legacy systems, and technical debt.
  • Deliver improvements that keep IT and digital solutions current, maintainable, and backward compatible.
  • Assess and deploy technologies such as SAP Fiori and AI.
  • Guide the use and deployment of technology products, platforms, development tools, data, and security controls.
  • Identify technical risks and manage technical debt.
  • Lead diagnosis and resolution of critical or recurring system issues.
  • Guide development and functional teams in applying SAP best practices, quality standards, and security requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience.
  • More than 8 years of SAP SD experience, including application, service, data, and process design, development, and integration.
  • SAP certification in S/4HANA.
  • Experience leading large-scale solution builds and implementations.
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams and partners.
  • Hands-on debugging skills are required.
  • ABAP development experience is preferred.
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Agile processes and experience working in an Agile environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP SD customizing and ABAP development in S/4HANA.
  • Experience integrating SAP SD with other SAP modules and satellite systems.
  • Experience with customer EDI integration.
  • Experience with S/4HANA SD configuration, migrations, and Fiori applications.
  • Working knowledge of ABAP debugging, user exits, IDocs, APIs, and SAP BTP integration concepts.
  • Willingness to travel internationally or between continents for up to 10–20% of the time.
