Senior Salesforce Integration Architect — India Remote
Lead a transactional Salesforce–SAP order management integration for a beverage manufacturer. Define interfaces, write-back safeguards, and delivery through the February go-live.
Description
- Lead the Salesforce-to-SAP integration for a beverage manufacturer's order management implementation
- Conduct a two-week solution discovery with the client's IT organization
- Define the interface contract for SAP services, payload formats, error semantics, idempotency, and retry behavior
- Design and direct delivery across five build sprints toward a February go-live
- Design inbound synchronization of SAP order headers and lines into Salesforce through SAP Integration Suite
- Design SAP write-back for order changes, cancellations, and return authorizations, including captured reason codes
- Implement validation, exception management, reconciliation, and concurrency controls for failed, partial, and duplicate transactions
- Determine SAP service availability, release, order-state model, authorization thresholds, and historical-order volume and cutoff during discovery
- Collaborate with the existing program team and US-based lead architect through sprint ceremonies and testing
- Act as the senior technical authority for the integration
- Produce the implementation specification for the client's SAP development team
Requirements
- Bring eight to ten years of Salesforce experience and current solution or technical architecture responsibility
- Have delivered Salesforce-to-SAP integrations end to end, including transactional SAP write-back rather than read-only data exposure
- Demonstrate experience with idempotency keys, correlation IDs, retry and backoff strategies, dead-letter processing, and cross-system reconciliation
- Understand SAP sales-order create, change, and cancellation interfaces using both BAPI over RFC and OData
- Be experienced with Apex callouts, named credentials, platform events, External Services, and the Salesforce Order data model
- Write implementation-ready interface specifications for external SAP teams and communicate directly with clients about them
- Communicate fluently in English and participate in delivery ceremonies with a US-based team
- Experience with SAP Integration Suite, particularly Cloud Integration, is preferred
- Salesforce Integration Architect certification is preferred
- Background in manufacturing, consumer packaged goods, or food-and-beverage order-to-cash processes is preferred
