- Lead product and platform work from initial concept through delivery
- Set project scope using the stated requirements
- Develop mobile and full-stack software
- Run user testing
- Coordinate product launch cycles
- Work with operations, clinical, compliance, product, and other cross-functional teams
- Explain technical initiatives in support of Abby Care’s mission
- Expand technical expertise across product development, cloud infrastructure, machine learning, and data security
- Create new systems using advances in AI
- Maintain healthcare industry standards
- Help guide product direction and the roadmap as an early key engineer
Requirements
- At least five years of professional software development experience
- A track record of building, scaling, and maintaining complex applications
- Expertise in React Native
- A product-focused approach to development
- Strong engineering fundamentals and architectural thinking
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is preferred
- Experience with AI tools such as Cursor, Copilot, or Claude is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with backend development, especially Python, and/or modern web frameworks is strongly preferred
- Experience in fast-paced startup settings with significant ownership is strongly preferred
- Healthtech experience or strong motivation to build high-stakes healthcare software is strongly preferred
- Ability to work in a hybrid role in the San Francisco Bay Area or willingness to relocate
- The application includes TypeScript and Python skill assessments
